Resident Evil (2026)
This is one of the best video game movie adaptations ever, simply because it respects the spirit and essence of the original games more than being overly concerned with following the plot to a T (Resident Evil plots are always insane anyways and would be hard to fit in the runtime of a movie).
The main character is so incredibly relatable and really captures the simultaneous camp and near nervous breakdown that RE2 Leon was experiencing the whole game but being forced to say "fuck it we ball", and the way that he interacts with the sets, the way items are laid out around areas, and even how the camera moves around the main character really shows that this movie was made with a lot of love for the source material.
